Sweeney is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive and ongoing training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which is showing efficacy in helping people with Functional Neurological Disorder and Functional Pain to experience recovery. Sweeney runs his own clinic full time, and at Neuropsychology East Melbourne, is thoroughly enjoying co-running groups and doing one on one therapy with people with FND. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a gold standard trauma treatment. He has an interest in helping people with PTSD, OCD, Depression, and all manner of relational patterns that people might find themselves in.
