Telehealth
We offer telehealth services at our clinic.

Please click below for more information:
Psychological Therapy
We offer telehealth consultations for psychological therapy for clients who are unable to, or do not wish to attend their sessions in-person.
Our telehealth consultations are conducted via video conference (preferred) or over the phone.
Neuropsychological Assessments
We recommend booking an in-person appointment for a neuropsychological assessment. This is because most of our assessment tools are designed to be administered in a face-to-face setting.
However, telehealth appointments with a modified approach to testing will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
All clients who access telehealth services are required to read and sign our Telehealth Consent Form.
This form provides detailed information about our telehealth services and includes a "confidentiality disclaimer" for access to telehealth.
Please email your signed form back to us prior to your first telehealth appointment: neuropsychology-eastmelbourne@unimelb.edu.au
*Electronic signature will be accepted
The rates for telehealth consultations are the same as the rates for in-person consultations. Refer to our Rates page for a schedule of fees.
Medicare Rebates for telehealth consultations are available for psychological therapy, following the same criteria that apply for in-person consultations. There will also be a consultation fee for you to pay on the day of your appointment.
Refer to our Psychological Therapy page for more information about Medicare Rebates.
*Late cancellation fees apply
At a minimum, you will need the following for telehealth consultations:
Computer (preferred), tablet or SMART mobile phone
Your device should have a microphone and video camera
Stable internet connection
Telehealth consultations are conducted over a secure, online platform for video conferencing. Our platform of choice is Zoom.
How do I connect to Zoom for my appointment?
For telehealth consultations (video conferencing) over Zoom:
You will receive a unique Zoom link (with meeting ID and password) for your telehealth session via email on the day of your appointment
Click the link to access the session directly on your web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge)
Alternatively, you can download the Zoom app to your device and access the session via the app
To access the session via the Zoom app, do one of the following:
Click on the link you received, then select the button "Open zoom.us.app" when prompted. This will automatically open your session in the app instead of your web browser.
Open the Zoom app. Click "join" and manually key in your meeting ID and password when prompted.
Please watch this video tutorial for further information on how to join a Zoom meeting.
When should I connect to Zoom for my appointment?
Please ensure you have connected to your session 5 minutes ahead of your appointment time.
Once connected, please wait for your psychologist to join you in the session.
Please ensure you continue to wait for at least 15 minutes past your appointment time, in case your psychologist is running behind with their previous client.
Phone consultations can be arranged if you prefer this mode of telehealth instead of video conferencing.
Your psychologist will phone you at your scheduled appointment time using the contact number you provided to our clinic.
