Dr Daniel
Pearce
Clinical Neuropsychologist
BPsych(Hons), PhD (Clinical Neuropsychology)
Daniel provides therapy and neuropsychological assessment for people of all ages. He has strong interest in understanding the overlap between mental health, chronic disease, and neurodivergence, and enjoys working with people that experience symptoms of functional neurological disorder (FND).
In therapy, Daniel’s approach is warm, empathetic, and grounded in humour and compassion. He uses an eclectic model of therapy, drawing predominantly from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help empower his clients to reach their own personal goals, and improve their quality of life in ways that are meaningful to them. For assessment, Daniel’s goal is to find and address the source of his client’s everyday difficulties. He has experience across private and public health, and a range of chronic, neurological, and mental health conditions. These assessments can help to identify strengths and weaknesses in thinking skills, their underlying causes, and how these are best addressed through strategies and/or environmental changes.
