Simone is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with a background in rehabilitation and diagnostic services in the hospital setting. Her main area of expertise is working with individuals who experience cognitive, behavioural and mood difficulties following an acquired brain injury, chronic neurological condition as well as those associated with functional neurological disorders.

 

Psychological intervention from a neuropsychology perspective is a key interest of hers. She uses a combination of CBT, ACT and mindfulness-based approaches, integrating these with her knowledge of neuropsychological processes. Her style is warm, empathic and collaborative with a strong appreciation for different interpersonal styles and individual preferences.

Simone's past research experience involved investigating biomarkers for memory decline and neurodegenerative diseases.
